Overview
The Winterset Dog Park includes a 4-acre large dog area, one-half acre small dog area, both completely fenced and includes drinking fountains, benches, play equipment, and a shade structure. Off-leash dog parks offer exercise and socialization for friendly pets, and fun way for owners to meet other animal lovers.
An annual permit is required to use the dog park. The dog park permit is included for City of Winterset residents who have a current dog license tag on pet. Non-residents shall purchase a dog park pass for minimal fee of $5 weekly or $10 annual. Dog Park passes are available in City Hall. Dogs must be current on rabies vaccination, be over 4 months of age and in good health. Dog handlers must be 18 years old with 1 or 2 dogs only. Children under 9 years of age may not enter fenced in area for safety reasons.
